Free program prior to the trek to give you enough time to rest for freshen up. (Lunch and Dinner does not includes)

Day 2. Senggigi – Sembalun – Crater Rim, overnight in tent
Pick up at 5.30am in your hotel and transfer to the trek point at Sembalun Village about 3 hours drive. Register at the Rinjani Information Centre (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang, meet your Mountain guide and porters. After soft briefing the trek start with gentle ascent walking through open grassland to Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300m), rest and enjoy the summit views of Mt. Rinjani from here. After rest onto Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m) about 1 hour walk up from Pos 1 Pemantuan than on another 1,5 hours to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m) for lunch break. Reach this point around 1 pm.
After lunch continue the trek up to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m), this is the 3,5 hours climb amidst the pine-like Casuarinas species locally known as Cemara, perhaps seeing evidence of wild pigs and the long-tailed grey macaque monkeys to the camp site at Plawangan II Sembalun crater rim (2,639 m).
Reach the camp site around 5pm, set up the tent and enjoy the views of the crater rim.
Dinner served at the camp site, rest and preparing your self to early wake up for the trek to the Summit on the following day.

Day 3. Crater Rim – Rinjani Summit – Segara Anak Lake, overnight in tent
Wake up early morning to start the trek at 03:00 AM for the hard three hours climb to the summit (3,726 m) on volcanic screen. Once there, enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mt. Agung and Sumbawa. Stay at the summit 30 minutes to 1 hour to enjoy the views around and than going down to the campsite Sembalun crater rim through same route.
After breakfast, proceed to go down to the lake (Segara Anak Lake, 2000m). It takes two to three hours walk down through the steep and rocky trail to the lake.
The rest of the day is spent relaxing, swimming in the lake and exploring the caves and pilgrimage hot springs, believed to have healing powers. Camp and overnight by the lake

Day 4. Segara Anak Lake – Senaru Crater Rim, overnight in the tent
Leave the lake after lunch, climb for two and half hours up to Plawangan 1 Senaru Crater Rim (2,461 m) for the last night camp.
Set up the tent and enjoy the views around and the lake from the other side, relax, explore and await the sunset. If the wind is cold, you may prefer to descend one hour to Cemara Lima and camp in the more sheltered forest.

Day 5. Senaru Crater Rim – Senaru Village – Senggigi/Airport
After breakfast, descend down the long trail to Senaru village (601 m), through thick tropical forests rich in flora, bird life and a variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and, if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung. Rest stops are taken along the way. Lunch served en route.
After seven hours walk from the rim, the trek ends at Rinjani Trek Center at the road head in Senaru, where the car is waiting to transfer you to the airport or Senggigi. End of program

Dear Wayan,

Just want to say a million thanks for the splendid arrangement! Our heartfelt thanks to our guide Pak Etra and porter Pak Wahid, without them - the climb to the summit was quite impossible. Also to those humble porters, Kurniawan being one of them and the rest of the gangs. Not forgetting the jovial Pak Saiful and Pak Gatot the driver for being so accommodative and informative. They showed their professionalism and their concern when we needed one. Please convey our deepest gratitude. It was a priceless experience and we will never forget them. Look forward to doing more climbing with Lombok Network!

Keep up the good work!
Warmest regards, mila safuan and gang
